Hi my name is Andy and I’m the owner and founder of Goofy Grafix. I'm 31 and I have been spraying now for years, I was pretty good at drawing when I was at school and I enjoyed it but you now how it is when you get a job at 16 then you get a girlfriend you’re more interested in other things than drawing so my artistic side took a back seat. Since I started driving I have always messed around with spray cans repairing the odd ding on a bumper or 2, and I was pretty good even though it was a spray can I was working with. At the age of around 23 I started to have a lot of time on my hands when the wife was out at work so I decided I wanted a project, I decided that I was going to buy an old cruiser and do it up, customise it and then sell it at a profit. I know what your all thinking I've watched to much American chopper and biker build off, but to be honest that's probably what inspired me. I purchased some spraying equipment i.e. big compressor spray guns etc all ready for the job. My neighbour then asked me to re-spray his bumper for him as it was scratched and he wanted to sell it so I agreed, I took the bumper off his car then matched up the paint and sprayed away in my garage. The spray job looked great but the walls in my garage were the same colour as the bumper and the smell travelled through the whole house, at that point I thought I need a spray booth. After the booth was built I decided to change my own sports bike for a newer faster bike, but my helmet did not match the new one, this would be a great opportunity to use the booth and re-spray my helmet. I had a long think about a design that I wanted but the trouble was it was very complex so I decided to purchase airbrushing equipment. From that I had lots of people ask me to do some work for them from bumpers to helmets and bikes, the bike I was building is still in my garage in bits due to the fact that I'm spraying all the time (wife not happy).
